Brian gave a sports massage to IronMan Max Burdick, oldest Ironman triathlete in the world (now over 80), after the 2002 inaugural Ironman Utah.

In 2003, Brian was accepted to study for a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida under the direction of Stanley Paris.  Brian was about to buy a $100k condominium in St. Augustine, and briefly attended USA until being disappointed by the University's policy of expelling male students with earrings.  Brian accepted his fate to move back to Marin County, CA (where his friend Jay is a PTA with earrings at the Marin Jewish Community Center...) to pursue other goals...
